Learn to Design in Makers Empire

How do you learn to design?

Makers Empire is a free-to-play educational game for kids and teachers that can be used for teaching children how to design and solve real-world problems. In the first few weeks of Makers Empire, you’ll be introduced to basic design elements and principles, like shapes and lines. By the end of the training lab, your kids can design their own custom objects, and we’ll help them explore how their creations interact with the world. Kids also get to learn how to create their own 3D avatars in Makers Empire and use them to build their own space in the 3D world.

In addition to all the lessons kids get to learn in Makers Empire, we’ll have plenty of Design Challenges and Design Thinking competitions for kids to participate in, and their progress will be tracked and scored, so they can know how they’re doing. Kids can also collaborate on design projects in the Makers Office with their classmates and use our collaboration tools to share their designs with 2.2+ million other kids in 50+ countries. Makers can also learn how to design through in-app tutorials.

With Makers Empire, educators can teach the Design & Technology curriculum, and use it as an engaging learning experience to help kids develop important design thinking, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills. They can also use it to help kids embrace the maker movement by getting them to create their own objects.
